Environment
The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho Environmental Department is responsible for projects that support the environmental health of the Kootenai Indian Reservation, the local community, and the Tribe’s aboriginal territory. These projects include monitoring air and water quality, reducing pesticide exposure, managing solid waste, and tracking overall environmental health. The Department also works to build cooperative relationships and maintain open, productive communication with the community.
