Administration

The Administration Department facilitates effective communication with local government agencies,

regional organizations, and the community. This position coordinates the Kootenai Valley Resource

Initiative (KVRI), administers the Tribal Transportation and Housing Programs, and collaborates with

other Department Directors within the Tribal Government.

Without a taxable land base, the Tribe relies on economic development enterprises to

generate revenue for its government programs. The Kootenai Tribal Development

Corporation manages and operates these enterprises on the Tribe’s behalf, employing over

100 people from the Reservation and surrounding communities.
